It was the focus then ~ Sports!

Think again, we play hard, we excelled in sports we did our exams well. Thanks to our teachers, Mr. Peter Fam, Mr. Loh who have trained us well. We played hard, and we excelled in sports and did well in our exams. Not forgetting our Miss LK Armour, the school principal then, more developing in school plays, we took part in almost everything, the Scout Movement, one of our best! Football, hockey, basketball, softball, badminton, I just wonder how I can manage to take up during my schooldays. Now, we gave up everything! Most of us gave up everything! No games now! At the school sport, I ran in relays, and all the jumps. Look at the picture,many years ago, I have my own fans taking me in actions!

Well, all those years, and the pride we have for the school during sport especially is priceless, ....we were a great team guys! Remember that!

Now others can help us in remembering names, I still have more photos to be shared..Mis, you promised some photos...and I am still waiting..

Here is our strongest man - Bahiki

He has left SPR in 1991 and now almost 17 yrs in PETRONAS. He is heading the Learning Section, more to enhancing my staff’s capability and competency.

For those in Miri, this is a normal sight. But our friends far and beyond can see how the school looks today.

Thank you for your contribution. Some has asked me what SCSS 1976 stood for? I just tell them St. Columba's Secondary School of 1976. The question get me thinking. Here's another pic i would like 2 share with u all. It's taken during the inter-school sports day held @Miri District Council field (now known as PadangMajlis Bandaraya Miri-MBM). I guess both of us have grown 'vertically' or rather sideways! Thats what fraulein have phrased it when she sms me this morning. Anyway..its great having able to get in touch with old frens again.

Relax Moment in 1975~ 2nd Miri Scout

From left;- Raji, me (joQ), Goh Soon Cheng and Bohari Morshidi. This was 1975 photo taken at the Tanjong Lobang beach. We have our weekend spent camping leading other junior members for their badges. Goh was my senior and I was then the Quartermaster. A lot of activities, and lots of fun, it help to built the person I am now.

Have not heard from any of them.

The Play I cannot remember..

Can someone recall the play? But this classic 1973 photo of joe lee, james chabu, abg affendi and myself was found in one of the old albums that I kept in Miri. More nostalgic school days photos to come!

The meeting at Ipoh Town kopitiam, Miri.

I received an SMS from Dyg Hajijah around noon. My mobile battery yang almost kaput for the day. I have it charged then return her SMS. She is calling a meet friends over coffee at Ipoh Town kopitiam, Miri. James came over too, and Yaw Teck was not able to make it, he told us mobile. Anyway short but well exchanged of infomation on where is who and who is what, but, Hajijah got everything well written in her own Cikgu's style..

Following that meeting, I am very sure I can get Misnah and Kasuma in next.. let's see, can't promise and Bahiki should not be a problem...

Sorry guys...4get to tell u all abt myself huhh...well..I'm now a Senior Assistant at Lutong Primary School, I have 6 young men to be my bodyguards. (Sorry cant attach my family foto cos not available yet). The one I had in my thumb drive got corrupted, can't open the file. My eldest is 25 now n the youngest is in Form 2 studying at our beloved SCSS too. Guess what, 5 of my boys all study at SCSS..:) Now only left the youngest coz my 5th son now joins the Technical school known as SM Teknik here in Form 5.

Ohh yaaa...know what..i just got back in touch with Bahiki after losing touch with him 4 over 32 yrs. He's now attach with Petronas in Kerteh, Trengganu but family staying in Kl. He's a 'weekend husband'...hahahahaa.I've given him our blog's add n

Anyone remembered Abd Aziz Taiee? Seems that his name is not in ur list aarr kiew heng.. how come u 4get a good friend right under ur nose in miri haa? Aziz is now Headmaster at SK Riam Batu 2, Miri.

Flying off to Miri tomorrow morning..

Can anyone recall who and who are in these pictures?

As these are old black and white pictures, some faded.

Luckily I wrote the names of all of us in the Primary 6 picture. It's kind of ugly, but I do hope no one complains. :)

James is our master for slimming down program! I am sure he will share with us some of his current programme. I can conqure that and validate that James Wong is much healthier than me. James tell us something.

Lydia, I am an obesse! Hahahahaha!

Late 2004, I managed to get myself to a record 76Kg from 90Kg; that is using clinic program, just before my haj. But, you cannot have the progamme on for the rest of your days, thus, the habits returned and now 88kg! Even lately I not allowed to donate my blood.

Ok..not a promise but I am going to tell you again my weight in a month time...remind me then!
